The Town of Dereham
Dereham is a lively market town in the heart of Norfolk and has a considerable range of shops, eateries, restaurants and leisure facilities - whether you are after a night at the cinema, a game of bowling, a spot of tennis or a dip in the pool, Dereham has it covered. A market is held in the main market place every Tuesday and Friday, and there are several large free to use car parks around the town.

Local attractions include the Mid-Norfolk Railway, Dereham Windmill, Bishop Bonner's Cottage and the War Memorial Hall. There are several large events on throughout the year - including the fantastic Dereham Day and Blues Festival. To see more about what Dereham has to offer, please visit aboutdereham.org.

We are very lucky to be surrounded by beautiful countryside and many attractive footpaths. In 2016 Dereham proudly secured Walkers are Welcome accreditation, joining the national family of over 100 towns and villages. Walkers can get a free pack of 14 walk guides from the town's library, or our offices in the Assembly Rooms. Alternatively you can download them from the website, www.derehamwaw.org.uk.
Dereham is twinned with Caudebec-Les-Elbeuf in France, and the German town of Rüthen.
